Five Tea

Hubby Tony is halfway through his last 100 days of work until retirement. At the end of the day today, after he had crossed the date off his countdown calendar, I gave him a box containing five different flavors of herbal tea. (Five tea....fifty....get it?)

The past few months Tony has cut down his coffee consumption in favor of decaffeinated tea. The 18 bags in this collection should get him through until at least his next 10-day milestone.

  1. Have you also tried mint tea?

    God bless.

  2. Hmmmm.... I really should get off my coffee habit too, but so hard in the morning.

    1. Tony has a couple of cups in the morning, then switches over to tea.

  3. Five tea? You were stretching with that one. :) I'm glad you explained it.
Tell Tony in 100 days things will change. Everyday will become Saturday. I've been doing 22 years of Saturdays. I went back as a contractor three times. It's a nice feeling to know there's nothing they can do to you except make you go be retired again.

  4. I love the way you celebrate his steps along the way with fun gifts. I bet those 50 days will go quickly.

    1. I feel a little sorry for him. Working virtually doesn't allow for a lot of interaction with his co-workers.

  5. My stomach revolted a year or so ago. I loved coffee so much, but when omeprazole wouldn't keep my stomach from hurting I switched to regular tea. I also can't drink alcohol. But my stomach is happy now, and I really don't miss coffee any more. Miss the booze a little, but it isn't worth a belly-ache, and let's face it... it really isn't good for me.

    1. I have one small cup of coffee with breakfast and another with my afternoon snack. And usually a cup or two of decaf or herbal tea myself after dinner. Alcohol doesn't bother me, but I rarely drink it.

  6. What a cute gift. I love that country peach tea and drink it everyday with green tea. It is the little things that mean so much.

  7. Those look good! I am down to two cups a day, in the morning. Trying also to cut down on "go" drug.

    1. Pam, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. The way the weather has been this past week I can't get enough hot drinks!
