The Countdown Begins

You may remember that back in October Hubby Tony chose a retirement date. Since that time we've talked about the future new reality many times. A couple of weeks ago he told me he had counted backwards and found out when he would be 100 days away.

That milestone was earlier this week. In honor of the day I printed up a countdown calendar and gave it to him. Tony placed it on his bookcase, where he can see it when he works.

  5. When I was teaching we all kept countdown calendars for retirement, but ours were in years, not days. The teachers in our department would have liked to all go out at the same time, but it didn't work out that way.

  6. Such a wonderful visual. I remember crossing off the days on my short timer calendar, although I loved teaching preK and consiodered it my dream job.

  7. That's a great idea! Because our plans were kept under wraps I couldn't have a visual. But how well I remember the excitement in those days leading up to March 9, 2018. Congratulations!
