The First Day Of Spring (At Last!)

In my area the 2022 version of the Spring Equinox happened at 10:33 AM. Today the day and the night were equal in length.

When Daylight Savings Time kicked in just a week ago, my bedroom went from being pretty bright when I woke up back to being pretty dark. After one week that first light was ten minutes sooner. By a week from now when I roll out of bed I won't have to rely on artificial lighting to see what I'm doing.

Hallelujah!I can't wait.

Five years ago today: Goodbye And Good Riddance, Winter!

  1. I missed it today! And the sun is always up when I get up. 😁

    1. I just can't get my schedule switched over. It's a vicious cycle...get up early, go to bed early because you're tired, then get up early because you've had enough sleep.

    1. I do much better in sunlight than in darkness.

  3. I measured the length of the day and night yesterday. The night was a few inches longer.

    God bless.

    1. Interesting. I'm sure that will change in a few weeks.

  4. So glad it is finally Spring! They are taking about ending the Daylight Savings Time which means here in MI in January it won't get light until 9:00! Guess I will worry about that when the time comes!

    1. I heard about the possible change to Daylight Savings Time. I remember that they tried it back in the 1970s; it didn't go well.
