In the middle of last week the high for the day was in the mid-70s. Today it is predicted to be a record-setting 90 degrees. That's too hot!
The capris I pulled out of the back of the closet have been returned there, and the shorts that I thought I was done with came back out. The condo is closed up, so now instead of the sounds of nature I get to listen to the drone of the air conditioner. Tonight when I go to bed there will be no brisk fresh air to look forward to.
Tomorrow is forecast to be as warm as today, then for the rest of the week each day will be a bit cooler until things are back to where they should be on the weekend. Thank goodness.

Weather will always be a topic of conversation Kathy, sorry to hear you are going through a hot spell.

Yes, if there's nothing else to talk about the weather is always there.
DeleteWe had a chilly day! Lots of rain.
ReplyDeleteWe also have a lot of rain.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to remember this post in January.
ReplyDeleteI hope you do! Then I'll probably be complaining about the cold :-)
DeleteIs this considered Indian summer?
ReplyDeleteI think a true Indian summer there has to be a frost first. It didn't get quite that cold.
DeleteWe are just as hot here on the western side of Missouri... even my daughter's dogs don't want to spend much time outdoors!!
ReplyDeleteCrazy, isn't it?
DeleteSame here. It rained heavily all morning. Then it was summer again.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We've returned to the hot weather too, and although I admit I love it, I will definitely miss the cool air coming in the window as I sleep.
ReplyDeleteMy perfect sleeping weather is chilly enough to burrow under the covers.
DeleteWow, it is late in the year to be that hot.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning of fall is always up and down temperature-wise, but this is a particularly high 'up'.
DeleteCrazy unpredictable climate! I ised to wear sweat shorts on field trips in September and October years ago. Not for many years, now. I am ready for cooler weather, too.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a great wardrobe of Halloween sweatshirts and sweaters. After not needing to wear them for several years I put them in the donation box. Now I have a couple of tee shirts.
DeleteMissouri is fickle, always has been. I recall a Christmas day the temperature got up into the 60's... followed, I think, by a below zero New Year's Eve.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but any extended periods of unusual heat or cold annoy me.
DeleteWE drove back from sunny warm Italy to pouring cold rain in Wales! Then yesterday it was lovely! The weather is all topsy turvy I think.
ReplyDeleteIt occurred to me that maybe I need to adjust my perception of what 'normal' weather is and embrace heat all the way through September.
