Every day for a year, starting on my 49th birthday, I did something I've never done before.
Now that I've completed that project, here's more of my adventures.
I wasn't familiar with Children's Day, so I had to look it up on Wikipedia. I had NO idea there were so many different ones! Of course, I realize you were talking about the Japanese version.
My brother in law came home from work one time convinced by his co-workers the Titanic had gone down with a full load of mayo, actually bound for Mexico, and thus we have the holiday commemorating sinko de mayo. My sister and I were howling about the time the ship got its load of mayo. The poor man was more and more chagrined, but we couldn't stop reciting the story. We were in a restaurant and pounding the table. He couldn't believe it wasn't true; "the men told me..."
It's also Children's Day! Happy everything day!
