  3. Oh, I cannot imagine such cold. Your heating bills must be so high! I do believe we will have an extremely hot summer here, much like Australia has been having. We will have high electric bills to cool the house. Such opposites in this one country.

    1. Hubby pays the bills, so I haven't looked to see how much we'll be sending to the gas company (I'm actually afraid to). Typically we have a period of nice weather in the spring and fall where we can open the windows and let the house air out. We'll see this year.

  4. Ha, ha, it's colder here. I believe we are suffering groundhog revenge for already offing Punxsutawney (yes, I had to look it up, three times!) Phil.

    1. I know you've had more snow than we have...you're welcome to it, as well as the colder weather.

  5. My daughter says they're getting 7 degrees F, without adding in the windchill. They're not cancelling school either.

    1. All the schools around here have used up their supply of snow days. Now they either need to take away scheduled days off or extend the school year later. No one wants either of those to happen.

    2. I think it's the same problem in Chicago.

  6. Kathy I would warmly welcome these temps right about now. It's freezing here, literally freezing with out temps dipping down tonight to about -35c (-31f) and this is without the wind chill factor. This is crazy making cold!
