Living Thanks

I saw this on a church marquee on the way to work, and I've been thinking about it ever since.

THANKSGIVING IS GOOD,
BUT THANKSLIVING IS BETTER

I was intrigued. What did it mean?  After pondering it for several days, I've decided that Thanksliving is about:

  • Living with an attitude of gratitude and thanks.
  • Looking at the positive side of things and
  • Finding the good in everything

I'd love to hear your thoughts.  What does Thanksliving mean to you?

  1. To me it means living with grace and unselfishly... remembering to give thanks for being alive, whatever the circumstances are.

  2. Not just taking one day out of the year to give thanks, but to take each moment of each day to whisper a thank you to God who has given us so much.

Just returned from a walk through the city streets, and as I went, I prayed, thanking God for all the many blessings we have, the beauty that He provides, our good health, our good friends, our good life. Then I asked for others to have the same. I prayed for the man collecting cans from the curbside trash receptcles. I prayed for the buildings I passed that those who live and work there will have blessings untold. And now I sit here, looking out over the bay, giving thanks for the wonders of this world and all that God does for us. And especially for blogging friends like you. Thanksliving.

  3. Oh, and I almost forgot, last Sunday's message was to pray for the prosperity of your city for if the city prospers, those who live there will also.

  4. Appreciating life in all aspects, even when things don't go my way I still am grateful to be alive and for all that I am blessed with... that's what Thanksliving means to me. The bonus is that I'm not an atheist and I know who to thank!
