"Any month in the Gregorian Calendar that begins on a Sunday will have a Friday the 13th, and there is at least one Friday the 13th in every year. A single calendar year can have up to three Friday the 13ths."
I also learned that when a non-leap year starts on a Thursday, the months of February, March, and November will have a Friday the 13th. Leap years can have three Friday the 13ths (in January, April, and July) if January 1st falls on Sunday.

Happy 13th
ReplyDeleteFriday the thirteenth has been good for Miriam and me. We met, bought our house and got married on a Friday 13th. Pretty good, huh?
ReplyDeleteThat is very, very cool, David.
DeleteDavid, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I see that we have several blogs we both follow. Yes, you've had great luck with a date that many people think isn't so lucky.
DeleteHappy Friday the 13th! Happy Weekend, too!
ReplyDeleteYes and yes!
DeleteI used to do a post every Friday the 13th even if it was on another day of the week. When Friday the 13th is on say a Wednesday, bad things can happen and you'll never know why. But I stopped doing that. I don't know why.
ReplyDeleteWhat I also used to do was only look for the good things on Friday the 13th and dismiss any bad thing that happened. So Friday the 13th was a happy and lucky day. But then along came Saturday the 14th when things went back to normal. It was miserable! So be careful tomorrow! Stay home!
Now that you've thought about your previous recurring post I wonder if you'll resurrect the idea. (Except if it falls on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday of course.)
DeleteWe're meeting some good friends for a delayed holiday dinner tomorrow night. I'll make sure I practice doing things safely.
That's the thing, there's a Friday the 13th every month. It just falls on different days of the week most of the time. So I feel like I have to warn people about the quandary.
DeleteGood to know
ReplyDeleteI never thought about figuring out when the Friday the 13th would land in any given year, I just know it's fun when it ends up in October (kind of appropriate in the Halloween month), and my husband hates when it ends up being on his birthday.
ReplyDeleteI agree that an October Friday the 13th is extra fun.
DeleteVery interesting break down.
ReplyDeleteEvery time Thursday falls on the 12th it is followed by Friday the 13th.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Truer words were never written :-)
DeleteOh gracious! I didn't know that. I didn't even notice that it was Friday the 13th. My brain is asleep.
ReplyDeleteThis is Kay of Musings. It wouldn't let me publish a comment the regular way. Strange.
I had the same commenting problem with Blogger last month. For a day or so I couldn't even comment on my OWN blog!
DeleteOh gee...For a minute there, I thought it was due to Friday the 13th that I couldn't post a comment. Then again... it's the 14th! Sigh...
ReplyDeleteTime is flying by.....
DeleteThat was an interesting bit of trivia.
ReplyDeleteInteresting information! This Friday the 13th just kind of slipped past me this time. Never gave it a thought!
ReplyDeleteExcept for the fact that I had to write the date a couple of times it probably would have slipped past me too!
Delete13 July 1962 Happy BIRTH day to me!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo!
