For the past few days I've contemplated what my word or phrase for 2025 would be. Quite a few positive expressions came to mind, but when I read an article about Pope Francis' Christmas Eve opening of the Holy Door of Saint Peter's Basilica to start a Jubilee Year with the theme of Hope I decided that word epitomized what I wanted for the next year to include.
Dictionary.com says that hope is "the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best". So I will try to find the positive in things, look on the bright side, and practice gratitude.
A year is a long time to focus on something, so as a reminder to myself, when I put the Christmas decorations away the ornament we brought home in 2020 will continue to be displayed.
