Is it winter or spring? At this time of year in my area it's hard to tell. The furnace is running in the morning when I get up, but this afternoon it's supposed to be 72°F. I won't get too attached to the nice weather, though, because tomorrow the forecast high is 49°F.
It's hard to figure out what to wear, and that applies to what I put on my feet. Right now there are three pairs of shoes I use when I'm at home that are lined up on the floor in my closet. The ones I reach for the most are a pair of old tennis shoes I wear as "house shoes", but there's also a pair of slippers and a pair of flip flops. Depending on the season usually only two of the three pairs are handy and the off-season pair is shoved in the back of the closet, but at this time of year I use all of them, sometimes in the same day!

In Canada we take our shoes off before entering the house! But I do have a pair of bedroom slippers lying around for cold feet in the morning!
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT go barefoot (or with stocking feet) in the house. No matter how often I sweep the kitchen floor I still step on crumbs, and I HATE the feeling!!!
DeleteWell, there's no guessing here, yet. It's still socks and slippers inside and I doubt if anyone has even thought of bare feet yet. ha.
ReplyDeleteI have a leather pair of moccasin slippers that I wear in the house until it's warm enough to go to socks..and then eventually to bare feet. But right now..brrr! When it does finally warm up to bare-feet weather, I do enjoy that. But I keep a pair of flip flops by the back door to slip on before I step outside.
Spring is the season for layers, isn't it? Sweater in the morning...off in the afternoon. ha.
I just heard we may get a couple of inches of snow tonight. Crazy!
