Toes In The Grass

Betsy at My Five Men is having another Pedi Party today. (Actually its a Mani-Pedi Party, but I don't do my fingernails, so you won't see any manicure from me!)

This morning I walked out to the compost pile barefooted. The grass felt so good on my toes, but then reality hit and I had to come in and get dressed for work.  My feet are now enclosed in knee-high hose and shoes, but I'm looking forward to setting them free later this afternoon.

  1. 'setting them free' ...haha...when my younger sister was little, she hated shoes and always asked to 'let her toes out'. :)

I love the feel of grass on my bare feet and your feet are so cute! Love that color, too...I have several bottles similar to that shade..it seems to be one I go to often!

Thanks for joining in! Cute feet!

    1. Right now this is my only bottle of nail polish. I discovered the one I used last time was getting old; it didn't last but a couple of days before it started chipping off. Maybe I'll get a nice soft blue like yours.

  2. Toes in the grass does sound like a good way to start the day. This is my first time joining in with Betsy's party. I really like your shade of pink.

  3. Such a pretty color pink! I really like the "down to earth" look of your feet in the grass. Nothing better than bare feet in the soft grass...except maybe bare feet in the warm sand : )

    1. Since there's no sand anywhere near here (the beaches around here are lake or river, and quite rocky), I'll have to settle for grass.

  4. Please, spare me from the misery of hose. Haven't owned a pair since I retired.

    1. And I didn't think anybody wore them anymore...even with dresses! Guess I didn't know!

    2. Linda-I know. You already mentioned that fact. Stop bragging :-)

I can't WAIT until I'm in your situation.

  5. My feet love freedom too, but I usually pay for it a day or two later when they turn up achy instead.

(Hey, our feet have something in common... They both like grass underneath.)

    1. Yes, your feet look quite natural in that grass! I usually don't go barefoot, but I do wear flip flops instead of shoes.

  6. I understand nylons do not grace the gams of under thirties. I havn't slipped into a pair since 1990, so I don't know for a fact. In case you want to make a life change.

    1. It's partly my fault for choosing shoes that fit better with nylons instead of socks, but they're SO comfortable I don't mind.

  7. The grass is just the perfect background for newly polished toes. When I was young I mowed our grass barefooted because the cool cut grass felt so good.

BTW you have very pretty feet to go with those toes.

    1. Yikes! You mowed the grass barefooted?!? That sounds like an accident waiting to happen--but maybe just for me.

  8. Kathy this looks so ahhhhhh, I don't know how to say that any other way! Your nails look fantastic and to take a photo outdoors is a brilliant idea.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Cheers.

    1. My toes aren't the greatest, but I've found a coat of polish hides a multitude of sins :-)
