Today, though, I wasn't getting music that fit my mood. It happens. Every show is unique, since the programmers pick all their own songs. I decided to see what was in my car's CD changer, which I haven't browsed in quite a whole. What an interesting collection! I had something to fit any occasion:
- Mama Mia! The Movie soundtrack
- The Charlie Daniels Band -A Decade of Hits.
- 100 Days, 100 Nights by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings
- Ramones Greatest Hits
- I Told Ya I love Ya, Now Get Out by Anita O'Day
- Sky Blue Sky by Wilco
"100 Days, 100 Nights by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings"
ReplyDeleteFantastic record.
I don't have a changer, but this is what my iPod says I've been listening to the past week:
Imogen Heap - Ellipse
Morrissey - Bona Drag
Jay Brannon - In Living Cover
Eddi Reader - S/T
Had to check on this! Found out most of my stuff are my own mixes. Hadn't thought of that before!
ReplyDeleteI've got:
*my mix of easy jazz
*CCR greatest hits
*Susan Boyle "I Dreamed A Dream"
*my mix of Hugh Jackman (yes, he sings!)
*my mix of Ronan Tynan
*my mix of Sissel
*my mix of Michael Crawford
Kathy-I think you're way cooler with music than I am :-) I'm not familiar with most of your artists, or if I've heard them I haven't associated their name with a song.
ReplyDeleteTeri-Interesting. Looks like you tend towards semi-classical, big beautiful voices music, but then the CCR jumps in.
Fun! When I worked, I have a 45 minute one way commute...listened to a LOT of things back then! :)
ReplyDeleteI often listen to the escape channel on satellite radio while I'm driving. They do a lot of Percy Faith of all people, but very relaxing when I get tired of hearing Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus on the pop channels!
ReplyDeleteBetsy-I've NEVER had a commute that long, and I don't think I'd enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteChristine-I've never voluntarily listened to Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus, and I'm proud of it!
I've been listening to Paolo Nutini, Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, and Green Day. :-)
