A friend sent me this today:
The process of living, for each of us, is pretty similar. For every gain there is a setback. For every success, a failure. For every moment of joy, a time of sadness. For every hope realized, one is dashed.I think this quote pretty much sums up life's balance. When one thing goes well, something else won't. Triumphs are tempered by failures. Life isn't always a bed of roses (but you should enjoy it when it is).

Thank you....I have had many setbacks.....seems I have a lot to learn...but now,...just for now, my life is very good...blessed, really. Balance is a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteVery yin yang, and so true. Loved the pictured you paired with the quote. I needed some blue today...very gray here today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
In the last book I read it talked about needed challenges so that we know what we don't want. When you think about it - it's true. We need to have the bad to know the good. And you're so right - enjoy the good!
ReplyDeleteI've read something very similar before but it had each phrase end with the positive...for example...'for every hope that is dashed, one is realized'.
ReplyDeletevery nice...and beautiful picture to go with!
Emom-Good for you! Unfortunately I find myself relearning the same lessons over and over. I'm confident someday I'll get it.
ReplyDeleteMaggie's Garden-Thanks. I do like the picture. It was a Microsoft clip art.
Nancy-"challenges so that we know what we don't want". I like that!
