Every day for a year, starting on my 49th birthday, I did something I've never done before.
Now that I've completed that project, here's more of my adventures.
The humidity was low today (right now MSN says it's 18%), but it looks like it's going to be climbing overnight. After dinner when I went outside to water the plants I didn't feel clammy like I usually do when it's hot here.
Most houses built within the past 45-50 years have air conditioning, but in the city there's a lot of old brick buildings without air that turn into ovens. There's a lot of reminders on the news to check on your family/friends/neighbors who don't have access to air conditioning, and there are cooling centers open for people who need it.
Oh dear, that is awful. My body refuses to function when it's that hot.
ReplyDeleteI spent most of the day indoors :-)
Deleteoh I know! We got to 102 today but with the humidity, it was a sauna! I only stepped outside about 2 minutes.

DeleteDo most of the people in your area have air conditioning? We were wondering if you will have power outages?

DeleteNo talk of power outages yet, and I hope it stays that way :-)
DeleteYipes! we are due to get into the hundreds today, so I can relate!....smiles
ReplyDeletewow! It's hot here too but I shouldn't complain!
ReplyDeleteYiiiikes! That is just plain awful! I hope your air conditioner is in good shape.
ReplyDeleteI'm NOT looking forward to seeing the electric bill next month!
DeleteI'm fearful of the next bill, too!!!
DeleteYikes, that's crazy making hot! I'd much rather have our 25c over the temperatures you're getting!
ReplyDeleteThank God for air conditioning, it would be hard to live without it in heat like you're experiencing. Stay cool and take care.
Oh my goodness, that's 42.2c, it didn't get that hot in the desert while I was there, close but not quite.
DeleteUnlike the hot, humid weather I'm used to here, this week the humidity's very low...almost what I think a desert would feel like.
