Every day for a year, starting on my 49th birthday, I did something I've never done before.
Now that I've completed that project, here's more of my adventures.

Ragged Is The Rage
For the past few years distressed clothes (like this skirt with a frayed hem
that I saw last week when I walked at the mall) have been in fashion.
I could care less about fashion, but yesterday I put on an old pair of
well-loved shorts and realized some people would pay good money for my raggedy
hems and little holes 😀.
Yes, I have many very fashionable raggedy-legged pants. I just wear them and go out. Our granddaughter wears jeans with rips and tears all of the time.
I just don't get it why the ragged look is so fashionable. I think it looks terrible.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but for taking a walk in hot, humid weather something ratty works for me.
DeleteI have quite a few of those.
ReplyDeleteI'll quote Debra and say "You fashion plate, you!"
DeleteYou fashion plate, you!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteI like the ragged look - as a teen we wore ragged Jean cut off’s but it would look foolish on me now.
ReplyDeleteI see quite a few middle-aged women wearing the fashion. Some of them rock the look; others should have left it on the rack.
DeleteYou're funny!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)

ReplyDeleteAnything goes!
ReplyDeleteAgreed.

ReplyDeleteRipped jeans have been in fashion forever. I wonder when the tide will turn?
Deletejust went back and read others' replies. It appears your friends would not want to include me when I'm wearing my frayed and raggedy outfits.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't bother me at all!
DeleteI have a 13-year-old girl that would buy them especially if they were jean shorts.
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely the target market.
DeleteThose kinds of jeans were all the rage several years ago.
ReplyDeleteSt. Louis isn't known for being on the cutting edge of fashion; they're still available at many stores.
DeleteI am not fond of this new fad but I would have LOVED them as a kid in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I have a saying - If you wore it the first time you are too old to wear it the 2nd time it comes around.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that at my age EVERYTHING has come back around!
DeleteMy favourite t-shirt are ten years old and I wear them 5/7 times weekly. They're the best.
