The First Rule Of Marketing...

Should be to get your potential customer's name right. I've never met a Kathy (which of course starts with the letter K) with a formal name that starts with the letter C (like this recent 'opportunity' to save on insurance that I received in the mail).

I've never been a Catherine, and never will

And if I was inclined to switch to a new company, based on their level of detail I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be this one.

  3. I get spam stuff in the mail and they tear up my name so it reads...Maury Krickland. LOL

  4. It took over 30 years for the junk mail to stop using my first married name, long after I'd left the 3rd husband! Two hospitals joined together here in KC. They tried to send me a bill, using an address from 20 years ago. Those lists have very long lives. Linda in Kansas

  5. My mother died in 1990. My Dad in1995. When my Dad died we had his and my Moms mail forwarded to my house. I still get junk mail addressed to my Mom. You're on someone's list as Cathleen and will be forever!

Oh, and at one time we had multiple phone lines. I had one of the phone lines list to Max xxxxxxx, our dog. I still get junk mail for Max.

    1. We had the same issue with my MIL's name. I always wondered how cheap a name list must be if it included people who had been dead for decades!

  6. Very strange spelling.. we must get at least two or three of these junk letters each week..When I go into the post office and see the trash bins, it just makes me a little miffed at how much paper is wasted on all of this junk mail. Most of it is not even opened.

    1. We are getting less junk mail than we used to. I'm thankful, but wonder why?
