Just What I Needed To Read Today

A Facebook friend posted this on her wall, and the thoughts resonated with me.

I have a big-tent understanding of God, so feel free to substitute your own name for him/her - YHWH, Allah, Universal Energy, or something else.

  1. That is indeed a Beautiful talk with the Creator. It's not as if suffering and the Human Condition is 'new' and I try to remind myself of that daily. Most other Creatures work in Harmony with how they just should be Naturally, we seem to be the most Unnatural of all Creation sometimes and it never benefits us when we are behaving that way. We could live in Purpose that is Harmonious, but so many Humans choose not to and create most of their own Wounds or have been Wounded by someone else inflicting Wounds upon them and hurting People tend to hurt People, a vicious cycle.

    1. Humans have a capacity to do good things, but so often turn away from it.

  3. I just completed a word study on suffering. Suffering in the world is a reality that we all face, but it's important to understand that God is not the author of our suffering. Instead, He is our Comforter and Counselor, working within us to build us up in the midst of a broken world (John 16:33; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
Keeping our eyes on Christ and not the actual suffering. Sure it’s not easy in our own power but can be done through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

    1. God is pure love. Humans are the ones who mess that up.
