I Need Your Help!

My blog is supposed to be set up with two columns, with the posts on the left side and several gadgets ('About Me', 'My Original Blog', 'Blog Archive' 'Followers', 'My Blog List', and copyright information) on the right.

However, about three weeks ago things got wonky, and the left column started to show up underneath the posts. The last time I had this issue I fixed it by changing some HTML code. I've made several updates. Sometimes it looks like things are back to normal, but some times they don't.

If you're so inclined, could you please let me know what you see?

    1. Oh wait, when I opened your blog, it was still underneath the post but when I went to type the comment, things popped over to the side. Looks good now.

  2. I have the same comment as BootsandBraids. Everything's fine when using the comments function, but when just looking at your blog before opening comments, the right-hand column has disappeared down to the bottom of the page.

I've had that happen occasionally and it's because some HTML text in a post is wonky or missing. Usually what I've done is delete some HTML I shouldn't have, or added some I shouldn't have. Since I'm not much of a coder, I often can't figure out what I've done wrong in order to fix it.

I have found, however, that once I have posted more than my template settings allotted number of posts "per page" and a new page is started, that things correct themselves and my columns go back to where they should be on the page. It's like the "corrupted post" screws everything up until it becomes shunted off to the next page.

    1. I've tried revisiting the HTML, and even redoing some of the posts, but it hasn't worked. Crossing my fingers that I have the same good luck as you with the offending issue.

  3. Yup. Me too. I see it on your right side bar also when doing this comment. This is so weird.

  4. My view is as you wish it to be. How odd that it appears differently to different readers.

  5. I'm not sure what the problem is, because I don't see any problems. Maybe you fixed it by the time I've seen it.

  6. This can be so annoying. Like the others, when I opened to make a comment, everything is there.

  8. Thank you for all the comments! I hate for things to be less than perfect, but it sounds like the issue isn't worth losing sleep over. I wonder if it's a Blogger thing?

  9. I just scroll to the bottom to find your blog roll. However, when clicking today to make this comment, the blog roll showed up next to the comments section. I guess it all depends on what one does on your site.

  14. I did not see 2 columns at first, then after a full minute- the format changed back to 2 columns as usual. Good luck!

  15. I don't know how to describe what's happening, Kathy, so here goes. The first page (where you post) does not have your columns with the blog archive, blog list, followers, etc, but this comment page does have all that info.
