Would You Like A Tomato With That?

I think the tomato plants LOVED the hot and humid weather we've had the past few weeks.

Aren't they beautiful?  This is the first year I've grown "non red" tomatoes.  The yellow and orange ones have been particularly productive. It's hard to keep up with the cherry fruits, but I keep their number in check by popping one in my mouth every time I walk by the bowl.

The five-day forecast calls highs in the 80's every day.  Hallelujah!

  1. And I am lookng so forward to those temps too! I'm coming up for my niece's 1st BD and to help Dad in the yard. (And a bit of shopping at my favorite places and dinner at Senor Pique's!)

  2. I really miss my little vegetable garden. I should plant one again next spring. There's nothing like the taste of a home-grown tomato.

  3. Yummy! My tomato plants withered and died! Really don't know why, since this weather was perfect for them.

  4. I have more than I can possibly eat OR give away! Good thing the local critters are vegetarians! :)

  5. Yes, tomatoes do seem to like hot weather. It looks like yours are doing well. I usually plant a plant or two of yellow tomatoes, but I haven't had any ripen this year, so maybe that one didn't make it.
