This takes me back to simpler days. I wonder how many kids get to experience things like this now?
3 dogs
Grass
Trees
Flowers
Rocks
Large grassy field
Pool of water or stream
Deep blue sky
Hot sun
Mix the children with the dogs. Add the next four ingredients. Pour out onto
the field with the water. Cover all with blue skies and sunshine. Bake under
the sun until the children are well browned and happily satisfied. Set them
away in the bathtub to cool.

I love that!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard this before - very cool.
ReplyDeleteVery cute
ReplyDeleteCute, but where is the alley, the 4 foot wide gangway between houses, the corner bar, and other city stuff?
ReplyDeleteThat's in the urban version :-)
DeleteBeautiful! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteYes I remember those day very clearly. My brother and I and several of his friends would go through the bush at the back of our house and down to the creek where we would catch tadpoles. Dad would whistle us (he could whistle very louder) when he wanted us home. Thanks for the reminder Kathy.

It sounds like you had a wonderful childhood.
DeleteAn excellent recipe. We do our best to get our kiddos out and about in the summer time and it usually at the water park or a lake.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Unfortunately I know some families are caught up in the daily struggle and have to use the weekends for errands, paperwork, etc. Then the week starts over again.
DeleteMy sentiments exactly after having taught young ones for four decades.
