Yesterday felt like summer. Although Hubby Tony and I knew a cold front was coming through overnight to knock the temperatures back down to normal we ultimately broke down, closed the windows, and turned the air conditioner on.
Said cold front did indeed come through overnight. When I woke up my weather app said it was 39 degrees. I switched the thermostat from air conditioning to heating.

Extreme! It's difficult to know how to dress for such weather.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason my body thermostat is still stuck on summer. The more appropriate cool weather clothes I started with were much too hot.
DeleteGood morning Same weather here too and the winds are still howling so this storm seems to be stuck here for now. I refused to turn on the a/c yesterday lol knowing the temps were going to drop a lot overnight and they did.
ReplyDeleteKathy, normally the air conditioner would have stayed off, but we only have windows on two sides of our condo and there was NO cross breeze
DeleteSpring is not off to a good start
ReplyDeleteNot at all!
DeleteOh no that’s Texas too.
ReplyDeleteAnd it sounds like a good part of the country is in our boat.
DeleteSame here. Wake up and put appropriate clothing on, only to be forced to remove it as the day wears on.
ReplyDeleteSpring....where you wear at least two outfits every day.
DeleteFreeze-or-fry weather!
ReplyDeleteI like your phrasing. I will be using i.
DeleteI will trade you for our endless Winter.
ReplyDeleteDoes it make you feel better if I say there was a freeze warning last night :-)
DeleteSame here. we woke up to some chilly air. Had to dig out my warm pants and sweatshirt this morning
ReplyDeleteDuring the wild temperature change seasons I keep my off season tubs on the bedroom floor because I dig through them so much.
DeleteOur newer thermostat has a dual setting with a minimum 4 degree difference. So the heat is set to 72 and the AC to 76. Generally we never touch it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a nice feature.
DeleteSummer, I mean summer this past Thursday. Delightful and then today, woke to dusting of snow. Gone now. Burrrr though. Happy Weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes. I hear you. But we didn't do it in the house but in the truck.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so hot here this month. It's going to cool down a little next week.
ReplyDeleteSounds funny through these photos dear Kathy but honestly it’s worrying how weather has been unpredictable these days
