I didn't sleep well, because the post nasal drip and accompanying cough kept me up. After breakfast I took a walk outside with Hubby Tony, but cancelled my class at the gym and laid around. I wasn't tired, but had no energy. The air conditioner was set to the normal temperature, but I felt chilly.
Mid afternoon I had a horrible thought. What if I had more than a cold? I did some research and decided it was time to test for the dreaded Covid.

Cold, Flu, or Covid? |
I spent the next hour clearing my calendar for the next five days. Depending on my symptoms, my quarantine could be over, or it could drag on. Tony hasn't had any symptoms, so he gets to figure out his own schedule.
Oh no Kathy Covid is alive and well. Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteAlive and well is a good way to put it.
DeleteThat's too bad! Rest up and feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh how I detest Covid. Sorry you have it. It’s still out there…
ReplyDeleteThere's a new strain spreading in India, China, Malaysia which in light of the high volume of air travel might have made its way to the west. Some supplements that are a help to conventional treatment are zinc, vitamin D, lysine taken with vitamin C, selenium, fresh garlic and ginger, echinacea, elderberry extract, oregano oil capsules. The only plus is that it appears that the virus has mutated downtown a weaker version.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the information.
DeleteIt's time to buy your old house with a basement (right?) back, go down there, and only come out at night. White castle is open 24/7.
ReplyDeleteOne (of the few) disadvantages of the condo is that there aren't many places to isolate.
DeleteOh my! I am so sorry. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeletePraying for your good health. God bless.
ReplyDeleteOh, bad luck. I hope you feel much better very soon.
ReplyDeleteGood grief! This is rotten news.
ReplyDeleteBecause of all the turmoil in the government, there was no reminder to get a booster in April, and I was so busy I forgot about it. Then we heard that fall vaccines might not be coming out, then we heard they would be for 65 and over (we fit that category), but I am concerned since we are going to be traveling before the fall vaccine. I just hope all those previous vaccines have made us "bullet-proof."
Hope you have a very mild and fast case and all of your good immunities come to the rescue.
It's all very confusing now.
DeleteOh darn it. I know people who have had it multiple times. I haven't caught it yet, but that's probably luck and the fact I really rarely even see people, outside of when checking out at grocery store.
ReplyDeleteI think five years in your lack of a case of Covid may make you a unicorn
DeleteKathy I am so sorry. If you can have some juice/tea whatever you like, lay on the sofa and watch netflix. this is the only time you won't feel guilty about laying about. Or is that just me? Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteThere has been lots of laying around, for sure.
DeleteGlad you looked more into it. Here's to getting better and stronger. Hope you give yourself lots of good rest.
ReplyDeleteOh no....I sure hope this doesn't last long and you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteDrat! I hope you have a mild and quickly resolving case and feel much better soon. And I hope you have had your shots, as that really reduces the severity of the thing. My best friend's son got an early case before vaccine, and now has what they call 'long Covid' and has had to retire from his very demanding career, as he could not manage. Thank goodness for the vaccine.
ReplyDeleteI am 'boosted' as much as I can be.
DeleteOh no, I hope you feel better soon. I think it will be with us forever now, much like the flu. I mask up pretty much everywhere except restaurants and big parties.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it will ever reach the point that a case of Covid is just an inconvenience (like the flu) and not a major event?
DeleteIntuitive of you to test. Most people think it is over and gone. Despite the fact that we visit our doctors every 6 months, nobody has suggested a booster. Take care of yourself and rest a lot and do not hesitate to take yourself to a hospital if the symptoms get worse.
ReplyDeleteI was actually surprised that the idea to test popped into my head.
DeleteSorry to hear this.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be good to be done with this virus. Then there is measles...
ReplyDeleteSorry to read ( a bit late) that you have covid, which thankfully I have not caught and have no plans to do so. However, this week I have managed to “catch” a summer cold as I apparently did not run fast enough to avoid.😕
