Five years ago: It's Always Interesting To Do New Things

This is so funny!
ReplyDeleteHow fun.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I could use this on my recording...lol... funny..
ReplyDeleteBack when people actually used answering machines, my number two son decided to leave the outgoing message, and he left something very similar to that. Some people actually fell for it, and we could hear them pushing various buttons on the keypad. Funny.
ReplyDeleteFun memories!
DeleteThis is very clever. Well done. It's also relatable: *gives side eye*
ReplyDeleteSince the majority of our kids live out of town (and the other is pretty self-sufficient) we rarely receive requests, but I have heard enough stories from friends to know we're the exception
DeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteThat is a hoot! Bet you could sell the product. It is accurate.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha, perfect!
ReplyDeletehow funny that you posted this at this time...we just turned off our landline, disconnecting our answering machine and phone that had been there since 1980 when we moved into this house. It's a bit of a shock to go through the family room and not see a blinking light on the answering machine. Terry and I have had cell phones and numbers for almost 20 years and have used the landline less and less. AT&T is doing away with landlines so we decided it was time to disconnect. Our kids rarely call but text all the time. I still have AT&T for my cell service but Terry went with Consumer Cellular for a much better price. He was able to keep his old number.
ReplyDeleteWe lost the landline when we moved into the condo. The church directory lists one phone number per household. We used Tony's and I was afraid that people might not be able to contact me if needed. In six years that's happened one time.
DeleteHow strange for the church directory. Our church lists each of our cell numbers, by name, and if there is a home number, that is listed, too.
DeleteI suspect the issue is the size of the congregation...(there are 30 pages of households, three columns per page in relatively small print) and the need to keep costs for the yearly directory down.
Deletelmao This is funny.
ReplyDeleteThat answer machine message is priceless.
ReplyDeletehahaha!
ReplyDeleteLOL! So funny! Thanks for sharing these, Kathy!
