Every day for a year, starting on my 49th birthday, I did something I've never done before. Now that I've completed that project, here's more of my adventures.

WHY Is It So Hot?
At this time of the year, the high temperatures in my area typically average around 80° F. This month Mother Nature didn't get the memo. Every day has been warmer than average. On Friday the high of 92° actually set a new record. So much for thinking about switching into Fall mode!
Tomorrow I'm going out of town for a couple of days, combining a little work with a mini-vacation. I was looking forward to walking around in the area I'm visiting, but since they're having the same hot weather I'll probably just settle for taking advantage of the amenities of my air-conditioned hotel or heading to a local mall...neither of which appeal to me.

enjoy your time away. the weather is so changeable this time of year.
ReplyDeleteYes, and I hope it changes for the better soon!
DeleteI agree with you about avoiding hot weather. I hope you have a nice break.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
DeleteOH, I want to hang on to those 80 and 90 degree days.
ReplyDeleteIf it were up to me you could have them! I'm looking forward to open windows and chilly nights for sleeping.
DeleteWe had an extremely wet September and now early early frost and snow in the mountains. This shouldn't happen. So here, we have the opposite, too much rain and winter type cold and snow already.
ReplyDeleteBummer! That doesn't seem fair.
DeleteI had a good laugh at your picture for this post!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your get-away!
Here, too. I’m not pleased.
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to change back to normal on Thursday....I'm counting the hours...
DeleteI hope you find a way to enjoy the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I will.
DeleteI must tell you not to come to Hawaii right now. We've had strings of 90 degree weather with extremely uncomfortable humidity. My husband actually wants to go see a movie just to escape the heat.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...90 degrees and lots of humidity sounds like a typical St. Louis summer day. Whatever happened to the tropical Hawaii paradise?
DeleteCold enough in the mornings (45 degrees) for the heater to come on. I would like more hot weather before winter.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is cold. I hope that it warms up some for you before getting permanently cooler, too.
DeleteIn comparison, it is wet and cold in the UK. It's rained so much we now have webbed feet.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'd rather have cold weather than hot. You can always put on extra clothes, but it's not frowned on when you walk around with no clothes on :-)
DeleteYep ... I agree. Going with no clothes on is especially bad for men!
DeleteGod bless.
Not as hot here but pouring rain all day. I'd rather have heat.
ReplyDeleteMy grass and plants request that you send some of your rain their way.
