We're two weeks past the spring Daylight Savings Time change. As always happens, the yearly shift to extra light in the evening made it dark again in the morning. However, as the days continue to get incrementally longer the beginning of the day light has started to return.
This morning when I woke up at my normal time there was enough brightness that I didn't have to turn on the bedroom light to pick out my clothes. That realization of longer days to come makes me happy.
Our sunrise is around 7, so still dark when I get up. Of course, the last couple of days have been dark all day as we are again having rain.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same problem with gloom this morning.
DeleteThis makes me happy too, although I wish it would warm up instead of rain.
ReplyDeleteWe're having see-saw weather...one day I put on a tee shirt and the next I'm back to long sleeves.
DeleteWe don't do the time change here in Hawaii, but I do notice it's getting lighted earlier these days.
ReplyDeleteBeing on the opposite side of the world, we are turning our clocks back on Sunday after 6 glorious months of daylight saving.
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky the weather is still warm and the rain has stopped for a while in Sydney although there is a cyclone in Queensland (up north from Sydney).
Enjoy your light Kathy and shine your light whenever possible.

Yes, our gain (of sunlight) is your loss. The pendulum will switch in a few months, though.
DeleteHappy Spring :-)
