After some discussions of what our observance could look like we came up with a 10-day project. Because of scheduling issues we will skip a couple of days, so it won't be complete until a couple of days after July 4th.
We divided the 50 states into random groups of five and decided to alternate back and forth. The person who is in charge will come up with one new to them fact about each state and one food or drink item associated with any of that group of states and share both.
The project starts tomorrow and Tony said he would take the first group. I can't wait to see what he comes up with.
Indonesia and the United States have maintained friendly diplomatic relations for many decades. The two countries cooperate in many areas, including trade, education, security, health, technology, and environmental issues. Congratulations in advance to the United States on its 250th Anniversary of Independence. Wishing the American people continued peace, prosperity, and success.
ReplyDeleteI never hear about tension between our two countries, which is a VERY good thing!
DeleteWhat a fun idea at a great way to learn about the States. I am from Missouri, the St. Louis Metro area. We are known for the invention of the gooey butter cake, toasted ravioli, and St. Louis style pizza with our own provel cheese that people either love or hate. I happen to love it. Have a wonderful Fourth of July.
ReplyDeleteYour profile says you're in St. Charles, just across the river from me :-) I am thankful that I don't have Missouri as one of my states, because it would be very hard to come up with a fact I didn't already know about the state.
Delete(And BTW I happen to adore each of the dishes you mentioned)
That sounds great fun. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea. I think I"ll do the same, only do a google maps tour of states. I think I'll go alphabetical.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time on your tour.
DeleteYours sounds like such fun! I'm looking forward to hearing how the game goes and how I might incorporate it here with my lady friends.
ReplyDeleteBringing a group into the project sounds like a lot of fun!
DeleteHappy 4th of July. Congratulations to you all.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you.
DeleteNow that's creative.
ReplyDeleteWe hadn't thought of doing anything special other than watching some historical documentaries of the revolutionary war.
Love the add of one food or drink.
