Gratitude Scavenger Hunt / A Slice Of My Life

It's easy to think of big things to be thankful for, but today I challenged myself to come up with smaller everyday things.
  • Something in the morning that brings me happiness -My first sip of hot, freshly brewed coffee

  • A sound that brings me peace -The sound of running water

  • Something in my home I'm thankful for -The wide selection of clothes in my closet

  • A scent I enjoy -Sauteed onion and garlic, ingredients in a dinner Hubby Tony was cooking

  • Something that makes my life easier - The high speed router in my condo, which lets me access the internet and any information I want at any time.

  • Something in nature that makes me smile - The crunch of leaves beneath my feet (and the light brown leaf that is smiling at me :-)
  • A moment that brought joy today -Foster Cat Smokey Joe cuddled up on my lap

  3. That first sip of the morning is something I crave as I take the dogs out. My mouth waters in anticipation! The falling leaves are a melancholy reminder of chilly days to come. I love this post!

    1. I didn't start drinking coffee until I was in my 30s; now I don't know what I would do without it :-)

  5. As I walk through my day, I stop and say thanks for so many things. Like this morning--my hot shower to wash my hair: I have hair to wash, I have a shower in my own bathroom, I have hot water with the turn of a faucet, I have lovely soft clean towels with which to dry off, I have an amazing blow dryer that just keeps going and going. Okay, it's only 8 o'clock in the morning and I have already got a long list of thanks....

  6. What a great idea, reminding us Little Things Matter! Always!
I may have to borrow this idea.

  7. A great idea and I am with you on a lot of these small precious moments. I had a friend who used to challenge us to spend five days of posts on gratitude, getting wider each time. It was fun. I should do it again. Wishing you more and many moments.,

  11. So many things we can be Thankful for... Happy Thanksgiving. I've got The Daughter watching a Martha Stewart Tutorial to cook the Turkey again, so she remember how, and she invited a Single Friend of hers to join us and be her Sous Chef, so the Girls got it covered and I can sit back and stay out of their way.
