Smokey Joe is the most affectionate cat I've ever had. Whenever Tony and I are moving around the condo the cat is following, and rubbing against us when we stop. As soon as someone sits down on the couch Smokey Joe is on our lap, and hunkers down for the long haul. If we get up he's ready to start the cycle all over again.
As much as I like his lap-sitting, purring, and 'biscuit making' (pushing and pulling his front claws, alternating between his right and left paw) all the attention presenting a bit of a problem. I don't mind passing on the household chores I should be doing but I usually do my blog posts with a laptop on my lap. The cat doesn't like sharing.I am sure we'll eventually come to some type of agreement.

He sounds wonderful. Will you adopt him before someone else does?
ReplyDeleteI think we're committed to cycle through cats so more can be socialized and find a forever home.
DeleteAh ... I both get that and at the same time ... once I got attached, I'd end up keeping them. Unless I had a mini farm, then I'd foster a bunch of dogs. But could I not adopt them? Too hard to say.
DeleteMaybe Smokey Joe wants to start his own blog?
ReplyDeleteI wonder, given that he pawed my keyboard this afternoon and deleted some of my typing.
DeleteLOVE it. As a major co with my pets only, I would enjoy it. Love the kitty snuggles especially when it's their choosing.
ReplyDeleteSmokey Joe is much more demonstrative than Pimento was.
DeleteSmokey Joe sounds like such a sweet and loving cat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! He is.
DeleteSuch a sweet sharing dear Kathy π₯°
ReplyDeleteYou seem very lucky to have such friendly cat π€
She must be with loving family I think π€
Cute picture is this π♥️
Thank you. We have been very lucky.
DeleteIt's good to hear that Smokey Joe has settled in so well. He's clearly loving having a home of his own.
ReplyDeleteMy cats like to take part in blogging, too. It does slow matters but the attention is nice.
I'm sure I will get used to a blogging assistant.
DeleteThey each have their own personalities. My sister's shy quiet girl cat died and she just got a rambunctious boy. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEvery cat, just like every person, is unique.
Deletesuch a great name....smokey joe. looks like he is comfy.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time picking out a name for him based on a photo.
DeleteHard to take a photo of a solid black pet! We have a solid black female that comes to eat dinner every evening. She had three kittens that I am pretty sure were fathered by Garfield, but only one has stayed around. Lucy never leaves the property. Black cat, Mousy Tongue is very aloof and likes to fight. Lucy does, but I am scolding her whenever I see her. She has started to tentatively play with my kittens, Marco and Polo. They are so much fun to watch! I hope you might keep this one!
ReplyDeleteI think we will specialize in loving each cat, nurturing them, and releasing them into another home. When it's time to set up his biography on the shelter website I will have to get some tips for photographing black cats.
DeleteLooks like somebody new is now in charge of the household.
ReplyDeleteYep :-)
DeleteAh yes, classic pet negotiations. Been there.
ReplyDeleteI negotiate, but usually lose.
DeleteHe’s beautiful. I’d take him if my husband wanted any more.
ReplyDeleteThis is our first black cat.
DeleteAwwww, Smokey Joe is a lovely Fur Baby and clearly is lapping up the attention he now receives being part of the Family.
ReplyDeleteHe's fitting in nicely.
DeleteThat's funny.
ReplyDeletehaha.. he is a cutey.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this, what a snuggle bug :)! He is going to love being with you guys and his forever home will be equally as lucky.
